Upgrades 22. Headlight Toggle Switch
OK so this to me is an essential for driving at night on those back roads. The default switch on the 620 dashboard to turn the headlights to full beam is nestled on the top row in the middle, it's really awkward for quick toggling of the lights when driving at night. I actually resorted to holding the flash switch with my little finger to turn on full beam, which is just behind the steering wheel.
So I decided instead to buy a toggle switch to replace the flash switch, when on it still lights up the blue light on the tacho so you will know if you have it on or not. For me this now means I can keep my hands on the important things (steering wheel and gear stick) at night instead of trying to find the headlight switch after every corner and having to take my eyes of the road.
At this point I'm also pretty geared up on the wiring behind the dashboard so it is a trivial 5 minute job to change. Remove the speedo and then the switch easily unscrews using the ring on the front, or you can simply rotate the main switch behind the dash a little to loosen it. Swap the wires and you are good to go.
